The best repair is the one you didn't need.

Most studio downtime starts small — a connector that's been intermittent for a month, a console that's drifted half a dB, a patchbay that nobody can read. Maintenance plans catch that before it becomes a session-killer.

04 — Common Questions

Things people ask.

What's the cancellation policy?
30 days written notice. No long-term contract — plans are month-to-month after the onboarding visit. Annual prepay is available at a 10% discount and is non-refundable.
Do unused hours roll over?
No. Hours are scoped per cycle so we can plan our calendar around your needs. If you have a particularly heavy month, overage is billed at the standard $125 shop rate.
What's not included in the recurring fee?
Major repairs and parts replacement, custom fabrication, new equipment installations and integrations not present at onboarding, equipment procurement, and studio relocations or build-outs. These are quoted separately and benefit from your plan's labor discount.
How does travel work?
Onsite visits within 25 miles of the shop are included in the scheduled visit time. Travel beyond that range is billed door-to-door at the shop rate plus reasonable mileage.
What happens during the onboarding visit?
A full walkthrough of the room, baseline calibration check, documentation buildout (signal flow, patchbay, inventory, firmware versions), and a punch list of anything that needs attention before the recurring relationship begins.
Can I upgrade or downgrade tiers?
Yes. Tier changes take effect on the next billing cycle and don't require re-onboarding. We'll adjust the documentation cadence and visit schedule accordingly.
Do you take on out-of-LA clients?
House Doctor and Checkup are LA-metro only since they include onsite visits. On Staff engagements are negotiated case-by-case for facilities outside of LA.
